Immigration Policy: Disaster
Ben that post and article just further highlight what an absolute, unmitigated disaster our immigration policies are. They don't help anyone. Honest hard working folks are left out, waiting in long lines (metaphorically speaking), unable to even get work visas to do jobs that (mostly) no one else wants. Meanwhile, virtually anyone who feels like it can make a run for it, voluntarily turn themselves over to Border Patrol, and they are fictitiously detained, then given a semi-fictitious court hearing, which they fictitiously attend, and hop a non-fictitious bus and 98% are not heard from again.
Unbelievable. I am a freedom loving, opportunity loving guy, who recognizes this country was built on the sweat of immigrants. I am, in theory, pro-immigration. But stuff like this strains credulity. I mean, C'MON. 98% are never heard from again????
Any bets on how long before a Middle-eastern Islamic terrorist, who is a dead-ringer for a Brazilian and has Brazilian ID, shows up in our country??? Can't they use some of that gargantuan Homeland Security budget to build more detention facilities???
